Classical Guitar and YOGA with Jeremy & Melissa

Join us for a special evening of Yoga and Live music featuring local GR musician Jeremy Veryws.

About Jeremy:
“I am a local Grand Rapids area musician and teacher. Currently, I am working towards a graduate degree in performance as well as music therapy at Illinois State University where I study with Dr. Angelo Favis in guitar. I received my Bachelors of Music in performance from Grand Valley State University, studying with Carlos De la Barrera and my Associates degree from Grand Rapids Community College with instructors Andrew Bergeron and Brian Morris.

I have performed with the Grand Rapids Symphony, as well as with the dance faculty at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp where I have been commissioned in 2015 to compose and perform original works. I have participated in master-classes with renowned guitarists Thomas Viloteau, Marcin Dylla, Carlos Perez, Johannes Möller, and Jason Vieaux, along with private studies with Goran Ivanovic and Adam Holzman. As a member of the GRCC Guitar Ensemble, I played in several of the annual Mid American Guitar Ensemble Festivals, one of which afforded a master-class with the Minneapolis Guitar Quartet. I also divide my time teaching and instructing music at Triumph Music Academy in Grand Rapids, MI. as well as being Adjunct Faculty at Heartland Community College in Normal, IL.”
