I started practicing yoga in college with a friend at a very small studio in Duluth, MN. I always had such a great time in class and continued to practice on my own throughout college. I moved to Michigan in 2010, got married and wanted to start up my yoga practice again. After a family tragedy left me feeling very lost and confused my husband suggested yoga. I started taking Yin classes at Seva. That was exactly what I needed to get back on track. I started taking more and more classes, and slowly made some new friends. I decided I wanted to come out of my shell and signed up for the 200 RYT at Seva. It was one of the best decisions of my life! I grew in so many aspects of my life, not just in my practice. Now as a teacher I am bringing that positive influence to my classes through encouragement, challenges, self care, and excitement. I love to use a wide variety of music and creative sequences to inspire each and every one of my students to listen to their bodies, appreciate their time on their mats, and to apply their yoga practice to their every day lives!
