1. What originally brought you to yoga?
Initially I was looking to bring balance into my normally hectic life.  I had forgotten how to just be and that it’s ok to let things be as they are.  Yoga has been my teacher, reminding me that I don’t need to always do.  Sometimes doing nothing…just observing…and letting things fall where they may is better than interceding and controlling.

2. What keeps you coming back?
Now that I have found a greater sense of balance and contentment, I am less quick to react and judge.  I have found a happier, more positive and less stressed perspective.

3. What is your favorite asana and why?
Side angle pose, for sure. When I can work my way into perfect alignment I feel like I can stretch my spine for miles.  For someone who sits at a desk most days, this is an awesome feeling.  Plus, I love pigeon pose.  It’s the first pose I run to do after a long flight.

4. What do you love about Seva?
Honestly, I got hooked because the teachers have the best playlists and they update them often.  I stay because I have gotten to know them and I love their encouraging style.

5. What do you bring off your mat from your practice?
My breath. The power of observation.

6. Favorite Book
I don’t really have one at the moment.  Recommendations welcome. 🙂
