What comes to mind when you hear the word ‘yoga’? A young, blonde woman in $90 spandex pants? An aging hippy with dreads and a faint patchouli oder? A blissed-out vegan bent into some sort of pretzel shape? What about a new mom looking to feel more comfortable in her post-baby body? Or the business person trying to de-stress at lunch? A marathon runner trying to heal a strained muscle? A believer looking to deepen a spiritual connection? An anxious performer trying to calm jittery nerves?
A yoga practice doesn’t have to fit neatly into any box, label or perception. It’s a completely individual action wherever, whenever, however you chose to practice. Our Seva community is a beautiful mix of all types of yogis practicing for all types of reasons. This April, we’re celebrating the diversity and uniqueness of yogis with our Yoga As You Are contest! We want to see your real-life, ordinary (or extraordinary!) practice as it really happens.
Rules are listed below. We can’t wait to see you practice AS YOU ARE!
- Post a picture of you practicing yoga – any time, any place, in your heels, in your jammies, in the studio, in the grocery store, AS YOU ARE in that moment.
- Mark your pictures using the hashtag #yogaasyouare
- Each picture (limit one per day) will be one entry in our grand prize drawing!
- At the end of the month we’ll randomly draw one grand prize winner and two runners-up from all the entries (limit one prize per person).
